A Grand Night for CASA - October 16th

We have been invited to attend A Grand Night for CASA on October 16th, 2010 at the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center. This is an evening to raise awareness and support for the abused and neglected children in Carroll County.

CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. Federal law requires a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) or a CASA be appointed in all cases of child abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers gather information about the child's case, attend court proceedings and give independent recommendations to the judge in the best interest of the child. CASA volunteers are often the only stable figure in the child's life, while going through the complex legal network of attorneys, judges and social workers. CASA volunteers are a child's voice in court.

Please support Carroll County CASA! For more information, call 770.838.1964 or visit http://www.carrollcasa.com.
