The 21st annual Thanksgiving meal, organized by Orlando Rivera, will be Thursday, November 25 at the Carroll County Soup Kitchen. The meal is made from scratch by volunteers. They need lots of help peeling potatoes, chopping onions, making biscuits & cornbread for the dressing, and so much more! This is a great opportunity for kids and adults. Come for an hour or the whole time; we need lots of hands and all help is appreciated! Below is the schedule:
Monday, 11/22; 8:30 am – 1pm: Regular soup kitchen services, lunch served at 11am.
Tuesday, 11/23 AND Wednesday, 11/24. 8:30 am – 1pm: Regular soup kitchen services, lunch served at 11am. 6pm – 9pm: Preparation for Thanksgiving meal.
Thursday, 11/25. 8am – 2pm: Thanksgiving meal, lunch served at 11:30am.
Friday, 11/26 8:30 am – 1pm: Regular soup kitchen services, lunch served at 11am.
Things to remember: a baseball cap or hair net is required in the kitchen; children under 15 need adult companion/supervision. All you need to bring is a smile. You will be blessed and glad you came.
